How we handle your personal data
1. Data Controller
Under Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (KVKK), your personal data is processed by Bal Clinics acting as data controller, within the scope described below.
2. Personal Data We Process
When you use the contact or appointment forms on our website, we process the name, phone number, email address and any information you include in your message or appointment notes. The forms do not store your details on our website's server. When you press send, your information is prepared as a WhatsApp message to our clinic; if you choose not to send that message, no data reaches us at all.
3. Purposes of Processing
Your personal data is processed in order to create and manage your appointment requests, answer your questions, communicate with you about your treatment, and fulfil our legal obligations.
4. Legal Basis
Your data is processed on the legal bases set out in Article 5 of the KVKK: that processing is directly related to the establishment or performance of a contract, that it is necessary for the data controller to fulfil its legal obligations, and — where you submit a request to us — your explicit consent.
5. Data Transfers
Messages submitted through our forms reach us via the WhatsApp (Meta Platforms) infrastructure, and that communication is subject to WhatsApp's own privacy policy. Beyond this, your personal data is not shared with third parties other than legally authorised public authorities, and is never sold for marketing purposes.
6. Cookies and Third-Party Content
Our website uses technical cookies necessary for the site to function, such as remembering your language preference. Our contact page embeds Google Maps to show our location; that content is provided by Google and is subject to Google's own cookie and privacy policies.
7. Retention Period
Requests you send through the website are retained for as long as required by applicable legislation and as necessary to handle your request. Once these periods expire, the data is deleted, destroyed, or anonymised.
8. Your Rights Under KVKK
Under Article 11 of the KVKK you have the right to learn whether your personal data is being processed, to request information if it has been, to learn the purpose of processing, to request correction if it is incomplete or inaccurate, to request its deletion or destruction, and to object to its processing. You can submit such requests to our clinic via the WhatsApp contact number shown on our website.
